Meet K9 Performance

Louve Dog Rescue transforms dogs at risk of euthanasia into trained law enforcement assets.

Louve Dog Rescue is a Non Profit 501 (c) (3) (EIN #33-1848111)

Every canine that comes into Louve Dog Rescue is given a permanent commitment—they will never face life in a shelter again. Each dog is carefully evaluated and trained for the work they enjoy most. For those who do not thrive in a working role, we ensure they are placed in loving, well-matched homes. All adoptive families agree to return their dog to Louve Dog Rescue if they are ever unable to keep them, guaranteeing every dog a safe and positive future for life.

Coming in to 2025 Summer!

We are currently looking for our next rescue. Criteria high energy, dog/people friendly, toy and or food driven, young enough to have a future in Law Enforcement. Each canine is carefully selected through our local California shelters that have little too much drive for a pet home.

Looking for our next Rescue and how you can help!

Wanting to be a part of something great? At there are several ways you can help make a difference.

• Donate toward our next canine’s training, feed, or boarding expenses. Every contribution helps provide structure, nourishment, and a future for dogs in need.

• Come spend quality time with one of our latest rescues. Your love, attention, and connection help build confidence and trust while they transition into their new life.

• Become a weekend foster. During the week, each canine remains in full training, while weekends give them the opportunity to relax, socialize, and experience the comfort of being loved and cared for in a home environment.

Together we are giving deserving dogs a second chance, purpose, and a future worth fighting for.

2025 ADOPTED!

Onyx came to us from Modesto, CA at just four months old. At the time, he was only hours away from being euthanized due to his high energy and lack of training. After working with K9 Jennifer Sharpe LLC, Onyx was initially trained for explosives detection. However, his exceptionally friendly temperament made him unsuitable for that role, so he was ultimately retrained as a companion pet. Today, Onyx demonstrates excellent obedience, including reliable recall, consistent e-collar responsiveness, respectful behavior around livestock, and strong leash control across a variety of environments.

2026 ADOPTED!

Sunshine came to Louve Dog Rescue after originally attending a board-and-train program with K9 Performance, where each dog lives and trains alongside K9 Jennifer Sharpe LLC. During her time in training, Sunshine built confidence and developed a strong foundation in obedience.

After returning home, her owner made the difficult but thoughtful decision that their current situation was not in Sunshine’s best interest. She was then welcomed into Louve Dog Rescue, where she completed her training and continued to thrive. Sunshine was soon adopted into a loving, well-matched home.
